Child Advocacy With School-Related Matters
In some cases, divorcing or divorced parents who have a child with special needs are not on amicable terms. This makes it difficult for either to participate in the child's educational development planning or other important services. I consider myself a child advocate and help parents coordinate school-related matters, such as attending IEP meetings, if it is difficult for them to do so on their own.
